Charity

The corporate social responsibility strategy outlines MDM Bank’s charitable activity and is based on the principal of voluntary and non-reciprocal participation. The bank’s charity activities are conducted according to the current laws and regulations of the Russian Federation and are targeted at specific initiatives.

In 2008, MDM joined the ‘Charity Instead of Presents’ project, a charitable initiative of leading worldwide and Russian companies. The bank understands that the money usually spent on corporate souvenirs could be put to better use if donated to charity: business gifts are often taken for granted and a large amount of money is spent on their purchase, transport and storage. Meanwhile, many people need assistance and support, so MDM Bank decided to contribute these funds to a charitable organization.

Instead of sending our partners and clients New Year gifts in 2008, we have earmarked the funds for charity. The organization that the bank’s employees have chosen is Children’s Hearts, a regional social fund that assists children born with heart disease. MDM Bank is confident that its partners and clients will share in the joy of being able to provide real help by giving to those who are truly in need.
